Events Crew Members:
Support the technical needs of live events on campus such as lighting, sound, projection, staging, and video recording.
Types of events supported: convocations, concerts, homecoming, graduation, guest lectures, and student events.
Work is primarily performed on nights and weekends but not exclusively.
Work takes place primarily in Goddard, Lingle, Comstock, MRC, EH porch, and May Crossen but can occur anywhere on campus
Must be willing to work very early or late when needed.
Must be willing to work outside when needed.
Must be willing to work 10-12 hour days when needed.
Lifting items up to 40 lbs
Carrying items within and between venues
Prolonged walking and standing
Climbing stairs and ladders
Work at height
Recording video with a camcorder or DSLR
Running sound for spoken word or music
Recording of audio with audacity, pro-tools, or other application
Use of Q-lab software
Operation of a spotlight
Running crew for theatre
Live event work
Program/operation of lighting console (ETC)
Program/operation of digital soundboard or operation of an analog soundboard
Familiarity with theatrical lights and how to safely hang and focus them
Work in a collaborative setting
Collaborate with all levels of patron
Perform duties under pressure
