***This position will begin in FALL 2021**
The role of a tour guide is to be personable and informative as you take prospective students and their families on campus tours. It is important that a tour guide is able to speak candidly and in a positive way about their Earlham experience in and out of the classroom. A tour guide needs to be able to manage their time throughout the tour to highlight all of the special aspects of Earlham. The ideal tour guide is involved on campus, is able to manage their time, and is responsible, as Tour Guides are often the first extended interaction that prospective students and family members have while on campus.
Tour guides need to be engaged throughout the entire time they are hosting. Tour guides will be expected to work several hours a week, including one lunch hour where you will take prospective students and their families to the dining hall for lunch. Tour guides are also expected to be present some weekends for the visit events, the dates of which can be found on the Earlham website and the Tour Guide Handbook. Tour guides are also expected to be present some weekends for campus visit events. We encourage domestic students of color to apply to share their unique campus experience with prospective students and guests.
